The people behind Good Game.

Neurodivergent counsellors who get it - because they've lived it.

At Good Game, we believe the therapeutic relationship is everything. That's why we take the matching process seriously - your free 15-minute consultation isn't just an intake call, it's a chance for us to understand what you need and connect you with the counsellor who's the right fit for you.

All of our counsellors share a commitment to neuroaffirming practice, identity-first language, and meeting clients where they are - literally and figuratively.

All Good Game counsellors are registered with either PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) or ACA (Australian Counselling Association).

Jason Stuart

I'm Jason - a counsellor, psychotherapist, and neurodivergent person (autistic and ADHD). Gaming has been a source of regulation, connection, and empowerment for me my whole life, which is exactly why I built Good Game.

I've spent years working with young people and adults in counselling, behaviour support, and youth work. I've run individual and group therapy through video gaming and Dungeons & Dragons, and I've seen the real shift that happens when people feel genuinely met - without having to mask or explain themselves.

My approach is person-centred at the core. I follow your lead, I don't come with an agenda for who you should be, and I work within a neuroaffirming framework.

I understand experiences like rejection sensitivity, avoidance, and emotional dysregulation as meaningful responses, often linked to overwhelm, sensory load, or unmet needs, rather than something "wrong" with the young person.

Yoshi Skinner

Yoshi is a person-centred counsellor and fellow neurospicy person who grew up gaming (alongside playing sports and reading) as a source of adventure, connection, fun, and escape. Her lived experience and culturally diverse background shape how she understands the unique challenges people can face, fuelling her passion for supporting others through similar struggles.

She values the importance of creating a supportive and non-judgemental space for people to show up as their true selves, no need to keep up an act. Truly meeting people where they're at is central to her work. This means a neuroaffirming approach at a pace comfortable for each individual. Drawing on professional training and personal insight, she supports clients through a range of experiences while helping them better understand the underlying reasons for certain behaviours and emotions.

Yoshi cherishes deep and genuine connection, creativity, and play, and aims to make counselling feel approachable rather than clinical or intimidating.
